So it exists, but how can you tell it apart from white-hat or beneficial SEO? A lot of competitors will advertise quick results and a lot of new backlinks practically overnight.  Of course this sounds like the right way to go, but ultimately it could cost you a lot more then the charge they are going to charge you.  Some things these companies might do is, create duplicate content on spam-type websites, use link generators, and create fake reviews of your business that appear unnatural.
