Yesterday, Facebook rolled out some new features for page administrators by giving them the option of different Administrator roles and permissions. This has been something that marketers have requested for a very long time now. They have added 5 different admin roles including manager, content creator, moderator, advertiser and insights analyst as the chart shows below:
By looking the the chart, a manager still has full access to everything from editing the page to scheduling posts. These new roles will secure Facebook pages quite a bit more by giving different people different access to your Facebook page.
To set these new permissions, go to your Facebook page, click ‘Manage’ in the top right corner, then select ‘Settings’ from the drop-down. Under ‘Admin Roles’, select the page administrator that you would like to change and then select their new role.
Schedule Future Facebook Posts
Another feature that we are excited about that Facebook added is the option to schedule future posts. We do social media management for several clients and have always used 3rd party software to schedule posts for clients.
Facebook has made it very easy to schedule future Facebook posts. Facebook shows you below how to schedule a new post:
Facebook will allow you to schedule a post up to 6 months in advance every 15 minutes. You can also schedule a post in the past and it will add it to your timeline.
Are you currently using anything to manage your social media? Will these new Facebook admin features change that?
